Artist's Comments

No fanart this time! :P
I spent roughly 20 hours on this one, I also tried some new techniques and lots of textures.
I wanted to paint a young man hiding in the shadows, perhaps trying to escape or even pursue the mysterious figure in the background. About halfway through the original sketch I decided to add chinese lanterns for more atmosphere, I haven't decided why they are there though, maybe there's a festival happening somewhere nearby.
I also experimented a little with the colours, aiming for a purple, blue, brown and yellow scheme.
I hope it came out well.

As usual, I started with a sketch using HB-2B pencils, scanned it into my computer and Adobe Photoshop CS and my graphics tablet took it from there.
Comments are welcome! ^^

NASA spent millions of dollars to create a pen that works in space. Russia used a pencil.
Incidentally, a cheap ballpoint pen works just as well.

I woke up with hair like that :P Anyway, amazing piece... it seems your originals are just as awe-inspiring as your fanart...

Lol, I went a little crazy with the hair, my younger sister thought he looked like a right emo. XD
Thank you Jack. :D
